Post Excavation Services

A dedicated post excavation manager will be assigned to each project to ensure that the archaeological materials and archaeology record is dealt with professionally and efficiently and in the most cost efficient manner.

• Environmental Sample Processing
  - Flotation of soil samples using a mechanical flotation system
  - Sorting of residues from flotation to separate all ecofacts and archaeological artefacts
  - Wet sieving of soil for waterlogged macrofossil remains
  - Paraffin flotation for coleoptra/insect retrieval
  - Wet sieving and sorting of cremations
  - Wet and dry sieving for archaeological finds
  - On site sampling strategies and advice on selection of samples for processing at the post-excavations stage
• Artefact Processing Service
  All artefacts will be catalogued, cleaned and processed in accordance to museum standards and conservation guidelines
• Archaeological Visual Reconstructions and Artefact Illustration
  In house illustration of artefacts in watercolour, pen and ink. In conjunction with our research department accurate visual reconstructions can be created for any site type
• Human Remains Analysis
  Our osteologist will produce a detailed report based is a detailed study of the human remains, the structure of the bones, skeletal elements, teeth, morphology, function, disease and pathology
